I've always believed the most important thing I could do is listen to someone's story. I am not the blank slate therapist with the little couch you see in movies. Because I believe in the importance of building a genuine human relationship with you, I will bring my full self into the therapy office and want you to be able to do the same.
I work best with individuals who are tired of the way life is going currently and are ready to make some changes. Sometimes this means unhealthy relationships, feeling stuck in life, or living with trauma symptoms you no longer want to affect your day to day life. Let's unpack it all together and find the strategies that work to heal from the past hurts. I will help you to communicate better with your friends and family, teach skills to stay calm and manage heightened emotions, and advocate for yourself.
I have worked with adolescents and adults in private practice and school settings for 5+ years and am interested in helping you and your family take the next steps. I am also nationally certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

Henry Haskins stated, “What lies behind us and what lies ahead of us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” This quote represents my approach to therapy: we have the power to change our trajectories and rewrite our narrative. I cling to this truth while also recognizing that life, at times, is hard and unfair. Seeking support is a hard thing to do, but it is also one of the bravest choices we can make for ourselves. I'm here for the recovering people pleasers, the confused college student, the person struggling in their relationships, and everything in between. If any of this resonates with you, I'd love to connect.
I am a school psychologist and am able to provide therapy throughout the lifespan. My ideal client is an older teen or young adult (20s-30s) ready to make a change in their life. Using evidence-based strategies, I will help you cope more effectively, navigate difficult relationships, and learn to set appropriate boundaries, advocating for what you need.
Behind every name is a story, and every story matters. I'd be honored to sit, listen, and share in that therapeutic space with you, encouraging you along the way. Feel free to reach out and see if we would be a good fit. I look forward to hearing from you!
WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR VISIT
I implement effective psychotherapy methods to instill self-understanding among patients and encourage them to adopt new attitudes and feelings towards life situations. It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix: therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the patient and caretaker alike. But in the end, making small changes to self-defeating behavior and coping with feelings of sadness, fear, and pain can bring life-altering results.
